Former Montreal Canadiens goalie was waived after being signed by a team
The Carolina Hurricanes have helped their goaltending depth by signing veteran Dustin Tokarski to a one-year, two-way contract.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 in the AHL.

However, Dustin Tokarski was placed on waivers with the defenseman Daniil Chayka and now Dustin Tokarski's placement on waivers gives other NHL teams a chance to claim him.
Daniil Chayka is a 22-year-old defenseman and was a second-round pick by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2021.
He has also played five AHL games this season and recorded one point while in the AHL.
