With the performances of guys like Jake Evans and Emil Heineman, Pezzetta has been left in the stands by head coach Martin St. Louis. He last played in January against Chicago, Colorado, Vancouver and Washington, while Patrik Laine was out of the lineup. However, before that, his last game was on October 27th.
Bob Hartley believes Pezzetta's time in Montreal is counted
During his passage on the BPM Sports radio, ex-coach Bob Hartley discussed Pezzetta's situation.
According to him, Pezzetta's time in Montreal is coming to an end. Hartley believes the Montreal Canadiens organization should place the forward on waivers and recall another forward from the Laval Rocket, such as Joshua Roy or Owen Beck if ever a spot becomes available on the roster due to an injury.

The Toronto-native was drafted by Montreal during the 2016 NHL draft, 160th overall. In 182 games played in his NHL career so far, the 26-year-old has 15 goals and 23 assists for a total of 38 points.
Depending on the Canadiens' situation in a few weeks, as they're currently fighting for a playoff spot, it will be interesting to see what the organization decides to do with Pezzetta.
