Major development regarding Patrik Laine's return to play with the Montreal Canadiens
In the last few hours, a major development has been announced regarding the time when Patrik Laine will officially return to play.
As a matter a fact, during the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights last night, Renaud Lavoie indicated that number 92 should return to play within the next ten days.
In fact, the journalist at TVA Sports suggested that next Sunday's game against the Boston Bruins, on December 1, could be the exact date when the Finnish forward will rejoin Martin St-Louis' team.
"A few weeks ago, Renaud Lavoie mentioned that forward Patrik Laine would, in the best of all possible worlds, be able to return to play as early as the end of November.
The most recent update on this subject tends to confirm that this is what will happen. After all, the TVA Sports informant, during tonight's game, said that we should expect a return within 10 days.
The initial target was the right one, if everything continues to go well. Could next Sunday's game, as suggested by Lavoie, really be Laine's return date?" - Charles-Alexis Brisebois
What excellent news for Patrik Laine and the Montreal Canadiens!
Clearly, his rehabilitation process is going as planned and we can expect him to train in a regular jersey soon.
There is no doubt that Patrik Laine's return to play will be greatly beneficial for the Montreal attack, especially since Juraj Slafkovsky, Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook have been struggling a bit lately.
Of course, we'll have to be patient with the second overall pick in 2016, who hasn't played a game in nearly a year, but the fact remains that Patrik Laine has all the qualities necessary to become a top-tier forward in the NHL again.
Since his debut in the Bettman circuit, the 6-foot-4, 208-pound forward has amassed an impressive 204 goals and 184 assists (388 points) in 480 games with the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets.
