Yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens were facing against Jacob Trouba and his new team, the Anaheim Ducks. Martin St. Louis' team ended up winning 3-2 following the shootouts.

Patrik Laine had another great outing. The Finn scored his 3rd powerplay goal in 4 games and added an awesome one during the shootouts.

Both goals gave no chance to Ducks' goaltender Lukas Dostal as both were total snipes.

On all of Laine's 3 goals so far, all of them were scored on the powerplay and were assisted by rookie Lane Hutson and captain Nick Suzuki.

The 26-year old forward also scored on his 1st and 2nd game of the season against the New York Islanders and the Nashville Predators.

Since the Habs have been playing on home ice since Laine's return, all of his goals were scored at the Bell Center.

During the shootouts, the #92 went bar down and Cole Caufield scored as well with a good wrist shot. Samuel Montembeault secured the victory with two saves in the shootouts. He ended up the night with 28 saves.

The Habs will be back in action Thursday night as Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins will be in town. The Pens have won 5 of their last 6 games, outscoring some notable teams like the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Following that game, Martin St. Louis' team will be heading to Winnipeg for their game against the Jets before coming back home to face the Buffalo Sabres.

Could Patrik Laine score his 4th goal of the season Thursday against the Pittsburgh Penguins?
