Another remarkable performance from Jacob Fowler
Even if the goaltending situation of the Montreal Canadiens' is a little inconsistent so far this season, the fans can console themselves with the performances of the Habs' top goaltender prospect, Jacob Fowler.
In fact, since the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign, the American-born goaltender has been amazing in front of the Boston College Eagles' net.
Yesterday, as his team was facing the University of Connecticut Huskies, the Habs' prospect added an assist to his incredible stats in his team's win. It wasn't a big play, but an assist is an assist.
Other than his assist, Fowler helped secure the win as he made some big saves during the game. He ended his night with 23 saves.
The 20-year old has been fabulous since he has been playing for Boston College. So far this season, Fowler has a 10-2-0 record, 4 shutouts, a goal against average (GGA) of 1,64 and an efficiency percentage of 0,938.
He was also awarded the Hockey East goaltender of the month for November. He won 6 out of 7 games played and kept some insane stats.
Drafted in the 3rd round, 69th overall, during the 2023 NHL Draft, Fowler won the World Junior Championship back in January along with Lane Hutson.
Jacob Fowler is considered as the top goaltender prospect for the Montreal Canadiens' future.
Many insiders believe he could make the move to the AHL as soon as next year, which means he would head to Laval.
However, at the moment, Jakub Dobes and Connor Hughes have been performing well for the Rocket.
