Although the Montreal Canadiens lost for the seventh time in their last eight games, Martin St-Louis' men showed that they could compete with an NHL power team.

The Habs managed to limit the Wild's scoring opportunities so well that the team was behind by just one goal midway through the third period.

At that moment, everything was still possible and several fans, myself included, hoped that the Habs would be able to make a comeback to win.

Unfortunately, during a three-on-two into the opposing territory, Jayden Struble lost control of the puck, accidentally hitting his opponent in the face while trying to recover it.

An involuntary move, but one that still resulted in a four-minute penalty, allowing the Wild to deploy its massive attack.

The Canadien's penalty kill unit did an excellent job preventing the locals from doubling their lead. However, with just seconds remaining to Jayden Struble's penalty, Marco Rossi found the back of the net, making it 2-0.

This goal, which occurred with eight minutes remaining on the clock, seemed to have wiped out the Montreal players, who were unable to break through Gustavsson wall.

Besides, while the post-game press briefing, the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, did not hesitate to point the finger at number 47 for his punishment in the offensive territory, mentioning that he helped the Wild win.

"It's annoying, we go into a three against two situation and we take a penalty. These are actions that helped the other team." - Martin St-Louis

Obviously, Martin St-Louis did not appreciate the punishment of his defensemen and took advantage of the presence of the journalists to send a very clear message.

It will be interesting to see if Justin Barron, who has been left out in the last six games, could make a return to the Habs lineup against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night, to the detriment of Jayden Struble.

In your opinion, should Justin Barron return to the lineup?
